​Our Aims and Objectives

We aim to improve Abbotswood for all who have a vested interest in the area. This means that we encourage community involvement, and inter-generational participation. We work closely with councils, businesses and community groups, to provide successful events and resources. We seek to improve local facilities and public spaces, and perhaps most importantly we represent the voice of local residents, especially those who may feel they go unheard.   ​

​How do we do it?

We are certainly kept busy here at Abbotswood Action Group. We run many projects and events throughout the year, feel free to see our events and projects pages for more information about what we're up to at the moment. We fundraise throughout the year, so that we can make these projects and events successful.

We have a weekly community drop in service, where you can pop in and talk to Alex (our Community Development Coordinator) about anything concerning yourself or the community. We have many information leaflets and resources available covering anything and everything such as local groups and events, health and wellbeing, drugs and alcohol or getting back into work. If Alex can't answer your questions directly, then she will put you in touch with the people who can.
