Easter Treasure Hunt
Now the key to a good Easter egg hunt is just to have fun. Despite the name it doesn’t have to be eggs, just replace the eggs with sweets or toys or whatever you want. It may not be as big as we would like this year but there are plenty of ways to have some Easter fun. Now feel free to Google Easter egg hunt as there are tons of ideas out there but what I have done is put one together which I’m going to call Easter Treasure hunt.
Step one:
Choose the hiding places – this is key for the next step which is writing out some clues. Hiding places as I mention in the main blog can be a garden pot or a favourite spot in the house.
For this example I have chosen: Coat pocket, pot of daffodils, wardrobe, fridge and a slipper

Step two:
Write the clues for your chosen hiding places, for example coat pocket = “Somewhere to keep your hands warm when wearing this”
Clue 1 - “Somewhere to keep your hands warm when wearing this”
Clue 2 – “Yellow flowers grow here”
Clue 3 – “I keep your clothes safe”
Clue 4 – “Chocolate is cold in here”
Clue 5 – “I keep your feet warm”
Clue 6 – The treasure can be found in the kitchen

Step three:
Treasure – For this example I have used clues on a fake egg and the main treasure at the end for them to find. You can make your own fake eggs click here which you can not only colour but also write the clues on.
At the end of the hunt have the main treasure ready which could be a chocolate Easter egg, toys, sweets. Whatever it is I am sure they will love it, but as I mentioned before in the main blog decide what you are going to do before so that you stay on budget.

Step four:
Let everyone in your house know that there is a hunt on. Why not make your own Easter bunny masks to hunt those clues down click here for a mask template. Give them clue one at this point and then the last one in the slipper for my example will be where the main treasure is.
Of course you don’t even had to bother with clues, you can just hide eggs/sweets (or whatever you have chosen) around the house or garden. The key is just to have fun and yes it’s not just for children, adults have a go too!
