It's here!! As promised!! The Sustainability September blog... One post a day, throughout the month, small changes that could make a big impact. We're keeping it easy for the first one. Are you ready? Because we are... Swap your bottles of water...For bottles of water...Simple. Need we say more? We know, we know, it seems so obvious. But, in our defence, we did say we were starting you off easy. Ok. So let's put this in the grand scheme of things for a minute. We all know about the war on plastics. Well, this is one very simple swap that helps in a big way. We're sure most of you have heard the guidance that you should be drinking 8 glasses of water a day, right? So that works out at just under 2 litres of plain water a day. Most leading supermarkets and local stores will stock 1 litre bottles ready to take away with you. That's OK isn't it? What if we look at a week's supply... Hmmmm... That's a fair few bottles. Can you imagine how long this blog post would be if we had posted a year's supply rather than just one week... It might seem so simple, but it's so important. Ditch the single use bottles, and splash out on a reusable one. There's so many choices out there, find one that suits you. Alex's mum's is covered in llamas... Whatever works for you, go get it! Ok so it might cost a few pounds to buy a fancy one, but think of the money you'll save just buy reaching for the tap when you're feeling thirsty. Keep the planet and your wallet happy... Go reusable... See you all tomorrow for tip 2! Disclaimer: We are not doctors at Abbotswood Action Group. This was a post about plastic, not how much water you should or should not be drinking. If you're not sure how much you should be drinking, seek professional advice.

I absolutely agree, I pretty much live on tap water. Thanks for your support Eileen. Best wishes, Alex
